The Deadline for the SGI/ABI Community Grant is October 31st
Since 1997, the ABI Partnership Project and Saskatchewan Government Insurance have been involved in a joint program to provide community grants for traffic safety and other injury prevention programs. The goal is to enable community groups to establish, enhance, and deliver programs that address safety issues in their communities. SGI and ABI will provide support and guidance in identifying priorities and in the development and implementation of any of these initiatives.
Topics that the Community Grant Program will fund include:
Acquired Brain Injury – All-Terrain Vehicle Safety – Bicycle Safety – The Brain – Brain Walk – Child Passenger Safety – Fall Prevention – Farm Safety – Helmet Use – Home Safety – Impaired Driving Prevention – Mild Brain Injury – Pedestrian Safety – Playground Safety – School Bus Safety -Snowmobile Safety – Sports & Recreation Safety – Stroke Prevention – Traffic Safety – Water & Boating Safety
Preference will be given to projects that have a demonstrated need, strong community involvement or to projects that are funded on a shared basis. These grants are offered twice per year. Deadline for the submission of grant applications February 28th and October 31st.
