Crusaders upset Tigers

The Carlton Crusaders got there first win of the season beating the formerly undefeated Tommy Douglas Tigers 45-42.

The game was a high scoring thriller and the Crusaders won on a last play pass deflection of a Hail Mary pass attempt.

Running back Bryson Simpson rushed for 3 touchdowns. Slotback Ian McAlpine had two touchdowns, receiving his first and returning a kick for his second. Receiver Cole Lindsay also caught a touchdown on a fake field goal.

The 1-4 Crusaders travel to SMF Field next week to take on the Mount Royal Mustangs on October 9th at 5:15.
