It’s good news for those living in the Melfort, Naicam and surrounding areas.

The Kelsey Trail Health Region is welcoming a new physician to the region; Dr. Danielle Desjardins will start providing services on Oct 5.

She will be stationed in the Melfort clinic but will be able to serve Melfort as well as the surrounding areas.

Dr. Desjardins grew up in Prince Albert and earned her medical degree at the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Medicine.

She did her Family Medicine residency in the Prince Albert Rural Residency Program.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Desjardins to Kelsey Trail Health Region,” stated KTHR CEO Shane Merriman in a release. “Her medical knowledge will benefit the residents of Melfort, Naicam and the surrounding area and her presence is a welcome resource and support for her physician colleagues in Melfort.”

Dr. Desjardins is now accepting new patients and can be reached at 306-752-1300 in Melfort and 306-874-2353 in Naicam.
