FSIN Chief candidate declines interview
Leo Omani, the current Chief of Wahpeton First Nation, is one of three people vying for the position of Chief of the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations.
Omani was approached by paNOW to discuss his priorities and goals if elected leader, but he refused the request, saying he had no interest in doing the interview.
When Omani was informed the other candidates had done interviews, he replied, “That is their decision.”
Omani has instead issued a press release in which he states he plans to run a grass roots campaign.
