Two big court cases will move forward before the end of the year.

Dustin Durocher, 27, will be tried by judge alone Oct. 26 and 27 at Prince Albert’s Court of Queen’s Bench.

He is accused of beating a man unconscious on Christmas Eve, 2014.

The victim was a 26-year-old man.

The motive for the attack is not known.

In December, a man accused of possessing for the purpose of selling $12,000 worth of methamphetamine will face trial.

Darcy Laliberte, 45, from Buffalo Narrows, entered a not guilty plea Friday at Prince Albert Provincial Court.

He was arrested in March of this year, after police conducted a traffic stop in Prince Albert.

The trial date has been set for Dec. 9 at Prince Albert’s Court of Queen’s Bench.
