Numbers Reveal Opportunity
There were more people working in Prince Albert this summer, according to the latest figures from Statistics Canada. Comparing July of 2014 to July of 2015, the number of people working in Prince Albert increased by 1,200.
In August, Saskatchewan added another 4,000 jobs in August and, at 4.7%, maintained the lowest unemployment rate Canada for the 23rd consecutive month.
These latest numbers are very likely a reflection of the new opportunities people have been able to access over the past number of years.
Some of this opportunity has come through new and expanding businesses in our city, offering more jobs. SaskJobs.ca regularly has about 550 postings, of all skill levels, for Prince Albert.
