If Matthew Parsons is going to play in the Western Hockey League this year, it’s going to be a lot farther from home than he thought.
Parsons, who played the last two years with the Prince Albert Mintos squad, was involved in a WHL trade Thursday. The Swift Current Broncos traded the 1998-born defenceman from Middle Lake to the Vancouver Giants for Brendan Holterhaus, a 1997-born forward.
The Broncos drafted Parsons in the third round of the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft.
