Developing: Riders say change of head coach, general manager necessary for success
The Saskatchewan Roughriders’ high expectations were not being met by its head coach and general manager, leading to the club’s decision to let both Corey Chamblin and Brendan Taman go.
Riders President and CEO Craig Reynolds spoke to the media Tuesday morning to address the team’s decision Monday night.
“These are never easy decisions or changes, but these changes were necessary for us to move forward on our vision of sustained success on the field.”
Reynolds said a number of factors went into the decision to let both men go. Reynolds says the team is in a results-orientated business and as general manager, Taman has a share of the responsibility of the Riders 0 and 9 season.
