Sentencing delayed for man responsible in high school stabbing

Another important day in court ended without a resolution. 

Michael Rudolph, 19, made a brief appearance at Prince Albert Provincial Court Monday morning. 

The case was scheduled for sentencing but was instead adjourned to October 5.

The adjournment will allow time for a presentence investigation report to be completed.

Rudolph entered a guilty plea in July, on a charge of carrying a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence.

The attack happened last May at W.P. Sandin High School in Shellbrook, as the girl was leaving a classroom.

Soon after, she was rushed to Shellbrook hospital with serious injuries, but was eventually released. 

Members of Rudolph’s family were in court Monday morning for the hearing, including Rudolph’s dad.
