Mission 50 has come to an end for Riverside Dodge and one lucky couple got to go home with $10,000.

Every customer who bought a vehicle during the month of July got their name put in a draw.

If the dealership sold 50 vehicles by the end of the month, a name would be drawn for the grand prize.

By the end of the month of July, the dealership had exceeded their goal of selling 50 vehicles, which was a record for them.

“People were coming in, they were so excited. I think we had a total of 59 names in the draw,” said Joe Hargrave, president of the Riverside Automotive Group.

On Wednesday, Hargrave was there to present the cheque to the winning couple. He said handing out the prize was fun for their whole team.

“We had them on speaker phone. We had all of our sales team, we had our service people, we had about 20 people gathered around the phone when we told them and they were screaming and hollering on the phone,” said Hargrave. “It was like they just couldn’t believe it. You thought they had won the lottery.”

“It was great. It was so fun to hear.”

The winners were all smiles when they claimed their prize.

“We were just blown away,” said Terry Roy, who came to pick up the cheque with his wife Cara.

Sales manager Kathy Skibinsky said they wanted to incentivise new relationships, reward loyal customers and grow the dealership, something she said they achieved throughout the month.

Duane Stroeder sold the Roys their vehicle and walked away with a prize of $2,500 for doing just that. Stroeder will be retiring at the end of September after being with Riverside Dodge for the past 14 years.

The Roys, from Chirstopher Lake, said they are planning a road trip to Vegas with their winnings and in one of their two new vehicles from Riverside Dodge.
