Waskesiu Fun – Campgrounds Open

Enjoy big ‘blue sky’ days and summer fun in Prince Albert National Park!  

The fire ban in Prince Albert National Park is lifted. Fires permitted in permanent or established fire pits and wood stoves. Approximately 64 ml of precipitation was received over the last 24 hours in the Waskesiu Lake area.

WASKESIU

  • Business as usual continues in Waskesiu. All businesses in Waskesiu, including a variety of accommodation, restaurants, retail shops, and marinas are open.
  • Visitor Centre and Nature Centre are open.
  • Summer programs for families are underway.

CAMPING

  • All campgrounds open and the fire ban is lifted. Enjoy a range of camping opportunities in the park.
  • Reserve online at www.reservation.parkscanada.gc.ca or by calling 1-877-RESERVE (1-877-737-3783).
  • Check with the Visitor Centre at (306) 663-4522 or online at www.pc.gc.ca/princealbert or www.waskesiulake.ca for visitor information including camping, hiking, boating, and more.

FIRE INFORMATION
Calypso Fire, north of Crean Lake, is being monitored daily by Parks Canada Staff.
