No bail for alleged Shellbrook school stabber

Jul 10, 2015 | 11:43 AM

A Shellbrook high school student accused of stabbing a classmate was denied bail this week.

Michael Rudolph, 19, went through a bail hearing on July 3, but the Prince Albert Provincial Court’s decision to keep Rudolph in custody didn’t come until Tuesday.

Rudolph is charged with aggravated assault and one charge related to carrying a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence.

The charges stem from an incident at the Shellbrook school that sent a girl under the age of 18 to the hospital with what was described as serious injuries. According to the RCMP, the girl was stabbed as she was exiting a classroom.
