5. Tabiska, Wabeno and Wassegam Lakes, and Bladebone Canoe route, remain closed.

-Visitor safety is the priority at any time of year. There is currently no threat to visitor safety in Waskesiu.
-All businesses in Waskesiu, including a variety of accommodation, restaurants, retail shops, marinas, Visitor Centre and Nature Centre, are open.
-Summer programs for families are underway.
-The fire ban is still in effect – visitors can use charcoal briquettes, propane and naphtha camp stoves.
-Waskesiu, Narrows, Namekus Lake and Sandy Lake campgrounds are open.
-Calypso fire, north of Crean Lake, is being monitored daily by Parks Canada Staff.
-Check with the Visitor Centre at (306) 663-4522 or online at www.pc.gc.ca/princealbert or www.waskesiulake.ca for visitor information including camping, hiking, boating, and more.

Fire Bans and Area Closures
As of July 9, 2015, the Superintendent’s area closure includes camping on Crean, Bagwa and Lily Lakes, travel on the Blade Bone canoe route, and the northern half of Prince Albert National Park.
The remainder of the Park is open for visitor use.

A fire ban is in effect for all of Prince Albert National Park. This includes all kitchen shelter wood stoves. Only propane and naphtha camp stoves are allowed. These notices will remain in effect until there is significant precipitation to lower the fire hazard.
