Jul 6, 2015 | 5:07 PM

The Prince Albert Police have laid charges in relation to lotto tickets thefts.

After an investigation into the multiple thefts at gas stations in the city, they identified a suspect.

Dustin Jonathon Hryniuk, 30, now faces multiple charges.

These include theft (X3), possession of stolen property, possession of hydromorphone, possession of oxycodone, breach of recognizance and resisting arrest.

The first incident happened on June 24, just before 10 p.m. in the 2600 block of 2nd Ave. West. Hryniuk asked the clerk for lottery tickets and then he asked for cigarettes. Once the clerk turned around the second time, the man grabbed the tickets and left the store.

The next day, police responded to another reported lotto ticket theft just after 9 p.m., this time in the 2900 block of 2nd Ave. West.

Hryniuk will make his next appearance in court on July 7 at 10 a.m. in Prince Albert Provincial Court.

Missing teens

Another teen has been reported missing in Prince Albert.

Laveda Martell, 14, went missing on June 21. She was last seen in the 400 block of 28th Street East.

Martell is described as 146 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Morgan Hystad, 15, is also still missing.

Anyone with information on where the teen girls are is asked to contact to PAPS at (306) 953-4222 or Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-8477.

Traffic Restriction

Until further notice, there will be no left turns made by southbound traffic at 15th Street and 2nd Ave. West.

The PAPS have received many complaints of people not following these instructions and will be enforcing the area.

People could face fines up to $150.

Safe Driving Initiative

The PAPS have wrapped up their safe driving initiative.

In the months of May and June, their traffic section took time to notice safe choices made behind the week and rewarded these safe drivers with a $10 Co-op giftcard.

Each person’s name was recorded and put into a draw from larger prizes.

That draw was made on July 1 and there were three winners of $100 gift cards and three people won $25 gift cards.
