New ultrasound machine offers big benefits for Prince Albert hospital patients
A state-of-the-art ultrasound machine is en route to Victoria Hospital.
The machine, to be used in the diagnostics area, will make life a lot easier for patients and staff.
“Generally in larger patients, visualization of some of the deep structures is limited. With this we are going to get a lot more accurate images and a lot more definitive diagnosis,” said Dr. Cesar Chavarria, head of Radiology at Victoria Hospital.
Chavarria said the higher resolution will be particularly useful for mammography and vascular imaging.
