Slough is charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual interference, two counts of making child pornography, possession of child pornography, and administering a noxious substance – in committed against a seven-year-old girl between December 2009 and January 2010.

Weir said the girl at the centre of the case is now safe.

“The child at this point is very well looked after, in a great household, in a healthy environment, and that’s what we’re all hopeful of. This young child was put through a great deal during this time period, and we’re very thankful that she’s in a protective environment.”

According to Weir, there could be at least two more victims out there. He said one woman has been identified, and the unit is working on identifying another. Weir said they’re still combing through about 50 electronic devices like laptops and thumb drives which could hold evidence of “additional offenses.”

Anyone with information about Slough or any offenses is asked to call their local police detachment.

Slough made his first court appearance in Saskatoon on Monday. He will be in court again Wednesday morning.
