Passenger fee hike coming at the P.A. Airport

The City of Prince Albert is raising the Airport Passenger Facility Fee at the Prince Albert Airport in July.

The fee will increase from $10 to $15, as of July 15, and it is the first increase since 2011. The City does not plan an increase of the fee in 2016.

The fee was first implemented in 2010 and is incorporated into the ticket cost. The fees collected go into a reserve for improvements of the airport.

Some of the projects the fees have gone towards renovations include new flooring, passenger waiting area and check-in counters.
