EDITOR’S NOTE: The advisory was lifted by Sunday morning.
Environment Canada has issued an advisory in central Saskatchewan that affects plants more than people.
It warns that some plants may be damaged or even destroyed frost brought on by an overnight low below 0 C on Saturday in the Prince Albert, Melfort, Tisdale, Nipawin, Rosthern areas, among others.
Environment Canada credits the impending frost to an arctic high pressure ridge bringing in clear skies and light winds.
