Police track, chase stolen SUV from P.A. to Rosthern
The RCMP shut down part of Highway 11 near Rosthern on Friday afternoon to lay down spike belts that finally stopped an SUV that had been stolen in Saskatoon and chased by police in Prince Albert.
According to an RCMP release, a woman driving an SUV that was stolen in Saskatoon first came to the attention of Prince Albert RCMP at around 2:15 p.m. on Friday.
She was allegedly on Highway 11 driving erratically, at speeds between 150 and 170 kilometres an hour.
When the SUV made its way into Prince Albert, city police were unable to get the driver to pull over for a traffic stop. They chased her until she left city limits.
