Bylaw warns: keep your signs on private property
The warmer weather brings the beginning of yard sale season once again.
But the City’s bylaw manager Suzanne Stubbs said that garage and yard sale organizers need to remember the rules of the signage.
“Signs are not allowed on any City property,” said Stubbs. “They can be placed on private property, and if you are going to be placing them on private property, you have to make sure you get the permission of the person who owns that property.”
The ‘Portable Sign Bylaw’ could see offenders face a hefty fine of $150.
