Energizing the Games – SaskMusic

We’re pleased to announce the ENERGIZING THE GAMES Theme Song Contest for the Saskatchewan Summer Games!

The Saskatchewan Games are being held in Estevan in 2016!

The Estevan Host Committee, in partnership with SaskMusic, is proud to announce a search for a brand new theme song to inspire the athletes and become a part of the lifelong memory that will accompany these events.

We are looking for an energetic, passionate, thematic piece of instrumental music which can be used to promote the upcoming Games, as well as to be used as their opening and closing theme music. Saskatchewan composers are invited to prepare a new piece, or submit an existing composition for consideration. This contest will be primarily of interest to those currently working in film and TV scoring, instrumental composers, and so on. The composer of the winning piece will receive a $1000 cash prize as well as licensing fees for the composition’s use in the 2016 Saskatchewan Summer Games as well as the 2018 Saskatchewan Winter Games. The deadline for submissions is June 19, 2015.
