Province to provide support for flooded communities
Communities concerned about flooding this spring and summer will get assistance from the Government of Saskatchewan.
The province will provide assistance for emergency flood mitigation measures such as culverts and berms.
The 2015 Emergency Flood Damage Reduction Program (EFDRP) is available to communities, rural municipalities, businesses, non-profit organizations, individual farm and country residences and cottage owners.
The program reimburses individuals and businesses for 85 per cent of the costs of approved permanent flood protection works. Communities can recover 75 per cent of the costs.
