Crown stays sex assault charge against corrections worker

Apr 8, 2015 | 11:36 AM

A corrections worker who was facing a sexual assault charge will not see his case go to trial.

The Crown has stayed the charge against Cory Geddes. Crown prosecutor Maureen Longworth said a conviction was unlikely.

Geddes was working for the ministry of justice as the director of adult community corrections for the central region at the time he was initially charged in early 2014.

Noel Busse, a spokesperson for the ministry of justice, said Geddes has not returned to work.
