5 Raiders ranked by NHL Central Scouting

Brendan Guhle heads the list of five Prince Albert Raiders who have made the NHL Central Scouting’s final list for the June NHL draft.

The 17-year-old who had five goals and 27 assists this past season is rated 56th among North American skaters by league scouts, while fellow 17-year-old Matteo Gennaro is rated 127th. The centreman recorded the vast majority of his 16 goals and 15 assists after Christmas. Reid Gardiner also made the list at 162nd. The 18-year-old from Humboldt was passed over in last year’s draft had career highs of 34 goals and 64 points.

Both Raider goaltenders made the list. Nick McBride, 17,  is seventh among North American netminders with 18-year-old Rylan Parenteau sitting 17th.

Guhle is ranked higher on Craig’s list. Former NHL general manager and TSN commentator Craig Button has the speedy rearguard rated 61st overall.
