16U Women Lloydminster

The Waldheim Briercrest defeated the Saskatoon Junior Huskies 25-15, 25-22 to win Tier 1 Gold Sunday in the 16U Women SUBWAY Sask Cup #2. Saskatoon JCVC took Tier 1 Bronze after a come-from-behind 18-25, 26-24, 17-15 win over the Prince Albert Optimist Toppers En Fuego. In Tier 2, the Regina Volleyball Club Extreme beat the Saskatoon Smash 15U for Gold 25-19, 25-16, while the Warman VC edged the Prince Albert Optimist Toppers Peligro 25-20, 22-25, 15-5 to take Bronze. In Tier 3, the Lloydminster Rustleres 15U won Gold after a 25-17, 28-26 win over the Regina QCVC Royal, while the La Loche Lakers topped the Regina Volleyball Club Thunder 25-9, 25-23 to claim Bronze.

The next action for 16U Women is the Conexus Provincial Volleyball Championships April 24th-26th in Saskatoon and Warman.

17/18U Women Saskatoon

The Saskatoon Junior Huskies 18U came back to defeat the Regina Junior Cougars 18U 21-25, 25-16, 15-6 to win Division 1 in the 17/18U Women SUBWAY Sask Cup #3 Sunday in Saskatoon. The Junior Huskies will now go into 18U Women’s Provincials later in May with the top seed. Also in Division 1 on Sunday, the Waldheim Briercrest 18U beat the Saskatoon JCVC 17U 20-25, 25-16, 15-12 to win Tier 1 Bronze. The Wakaw Warriors 17U won Tier 2 Gold with a 25-19, 26-24 win over the Regina WVA 17U. Rose Valley VC 17U knocked off the Rustlers VC 18U from Lloydminster 25-17, 25-17 to claim Tier 2 Bronze.

In Division 2, Strasbourg Synergy 18U took Tier 1 Gold after defeating the Moose Jaw Element Panthers 18U 25-17, 26-24. The Yorkton Blitz 17U topped the Lloydminster Tinhats 17U 25-21, 25-16 for Bronze. In Tier 2, the Saskatoon Attack 17U edged the Swift Current Junior Sundogs 17U 23-25, 25-19, 17-15 for Gold, while the Estevan Extreme 18U won Bronze after a three set 25-23, 20-25, 15-6 win over the Regina QCVC Royal 18U. In The North West Lakers 18U won Tier 3 Gold by virtue of a 25-20, 22-25, 15-6 win over the Martensville Outerlimits Synergy 18U, while the Melfort Storm 17U won Bronze with a 25-20, 26-24 win over the Rosetown Athletes Haven 17U.

The next action for 17U and 18U Women is the Conexus Provincial Volleyball Championships May 1st-3rd in Saskatoon and Warman.
