UPDATE: Contractor injured while working inside water treatment plant tank
Feb 9, 2015 | 4:20 PM
A contractor has been removed from a container at the City of Saskatoon Water Treatment Plant after tripping and falling while working at the bottom of the tank.
According to the Saskatoon Fire Department, there was a bit of a misunderstanding about the height of the fall. Although the man had to be removed from a container that was approximately 20 feet deep, he did not fall that distance.
The tank is currently under construction and only contained paint and a sandblasting material, according to plant manager Troy Lafreniere.
The contractor received treatment for a minor leg injury while inside the container.
