A $5,000 cheque was put in the hands of the Prince Albert SPCA and Boston Pizza Future Prospects.

On Friday Scotiabank presented the donation to the Spay-getti & No Balls Fundraiser.

“Scotiabank has always had a strong commitment to building better communities. Involvement is an important part of the way we live, work and do business every day, which is why we are pleased to support this joint effort,” Jolene Meinema from Scotiabank said in a statement.

The fundraiser is meant to create awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering your animals. All money raised will be split equally between the Prince Albert SPCA and the Boston Pizza Future Prospects Fund – which includes five charities; Juvenile Diabetes, Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Rick Hanson Foundation, Live Different and Kid’s Help Phone.
