Man who dares RCMP to find him is caught

A man who escaped from RCMP custody at a court house in Black Lake is once again in custody.

Solomon Toutsaint, 21, was arrested Sunday morning in Black Lake without incident.

On Jan. 21, he made his escape from custody and in the following days, he used social media to taunt police.

A couple of his posts read: “Catch me if you can lol,” and “Imma bad boy.”

Stony Rapids RCMP received a tip around 10 a.m. on Sunday morning that Toutsaint was at a home in Black Lake. He was arrested soon after.

A spokesperson for the Stony Rapids RCMP detachment told paNOW they had suspected that Toutsaint had not actually left the community.

There is still some question as to how Toutsaint was able to taunt police via social media, since there is no cell service in the Black Lake or Stony Rapids areas.

Toutsaint is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday in Stony Rapids.
