Mountie had capacity to change world: sister

ST. ALBERT, Alta. – Alberta RCMP Const. David Wynn’s sister says her brother was an ordinary man with an extraordinary capacity to change the world around him.

Mona Wynn encouraged mourners to live the way her brother would want them to — to enjoy life, to contribute to the world and never hold a grudge.

Wynn’s sister noted that her brother’s organs and tissue were donated and the family has been told they will help as many as 35 people.

Wynn died after he and auxiliary Const. Derek Bond were shot during a struggle with a suspected car thief at a casino in St. Albert earlier this month.

The Rankin Family and Paul Brandt both performed songs in Wynn’s memory.
