Saskatoon Police said they know the woman who allegedly pointed a handgun at officers during a traffic stop Saturday afternoon.
Officers were investigating a theft near Avenue J and 20th Street. Just after 1 p.m., they stopped a vehicle connected to the investigation.
While trying to arrest a suspect in the vehicle, a woman in the back seat pulled out a handgun and pointed it at police.
No shots were fired, but the woman fled the scene, and despite efforts of police dogs, officers were unable to find her.
Police say the 32-year-old female is known to them.
