Jan 15, 2015 | 3:33 PM

The owner of gun supply stores in Melfort and Nipawin is in some pretty hot water.

Armand Hounjet, 43, is among the 14 people charged in Wednesday’s province-wide investigation.

Hounjet faces various weapons related charges, five in total. He has also been charged with aggravated assault and possession of marijuana.

Hounjet owns both Badger Arms Supply in Melfort and Nipawin Gun and Tackle.

Both businesses were searched by police on Wednesday. Witnesses said they saw police carrying out boxes of guns from the store in Nipawin.

Hounjet will make his next court appearance Friday morning in Saskatoon.

In total, $8 million worth of drugs, 200 guns, and tens of thousands of rounds of ammo were seized by police on Wednesday.

Police are calling it one of the most significant investigations in Saskatchewan history.

Some of the drugs seized were fentanyl. They said it has the same chemical make-up as the fake oxycontin pills that caused three recent deaths in Saskatoon.
