Trial begins in Rapid View murder case
The trial for a young man accused of first-degree murder in the deaths of Genne and Teresa Nolin in their farmhouse outside of Rapid View two years ago started on Monday.
Four witnesses appeared before the judge on the first day of trial for the 19-year-old, who cannot be named because he was a youth at the time.
Two of those witnesses were the arresting officers in Prince Albert.
Both state the accused, who was 17 at the time and cannot be named, had willingly spoken to police, and say he was visibly upset. The youth went on to accuse another teen involved in the murders. That youth has already been sentenced and will testify later on during this trial.
