Christmas display showdown looking for votes

Jan 3, 2015 | 11:18 AM

Even though Christmas is over, the holiday spirit is still lingering in Prince Albert’s downtown core.

The Countdown to Christmas saw more than 18 businesses in the Central Avenue area unveil storefront displays in the days leading up to Dec. 25.

The Prince Albert Downtown Business Improvement District (PABID) is now inviting people to look at photos of the participants’ displays on its Facebook page and cast their vote for the best one.

Voting is taking place both online and at the 1105 Central Avenue office.

This is the second year the PABID has offered a $100 prize based on voting.

In addition, anyone who likes and or leaves comments on the Facebook post will be entered to win a $100 gift certificate to any of the businesses participating in the Countdown to Christmas.
