PHOTOS: Fire spreads from car to Regina apartment
A Regina apartment building was damaged Wednesday morning after a vehicle parked next to it caught fire.
Crews were called before 10 a.m. to the building on Second Avenue North just off Albert Street. Witnesses say the fire started in a car and eventually spread up the wall to the roof of the apartment building.
“All I saw was smoke and we came out and somebody’s vehicle was caught on fire, and within seconds the building was caught on fire,” said Jade Rayner who works at Rexall across the street.
Rayner brought coffee for the people waiting outside in the cold.
