The Toronto Blue Jays made it official on Friday announcing the signing of Saskatchewan-born pitcher Andrew Albers.
The left-handed pitcher from the Battlefords has signed a minor-league deal, which includes an invitation to spring training.
The Blue Jays made the announcement Friday on Twitter.
Albers was called up from the minor leagues by the Minnesota Twins in 2013, ending up with a 2-and-5 record and a 4.05 ERA.
