PHOTOS: Large truck tips at northwest Regina home

Construction in a new Regina neighbourhood came to a standstill at one home after a man was apparently pinned between a truck and container.

Regina Fire & Protective Services were called to a home under construction on Barootes Way in the city’s northwest. By the time crews arrived, the man who had apparently been trapped was already freed. What was left was a truck half suspended in the air.

It appears the truck was unloading a PUPS storage container from its bed onto the home’s driveway using a crane attached to the truck. The front wheels of the truck remained on the ground but the back two wheels were lifted into the air, weighed down by the container.

Other construction workers in the area told News Talk Radio that the man was taken to hospital, and should hopefully be OK.
