Kids perform Christmas carols in Saskatoon

Dec 15, 2014 | 4:39 PM

Dressed like a reindeer with a light brown onesie and fuzzy antlers on a headband, Lexus Bayani is singing her heart out in the front row with her class at TCU Place.

Bayani and other Grade 4 students from Princess Alexandra Community School are one of several classes performing at the 43rd Annual Noon Festival of Carols.

“I was singing a few songs,” Bayani said, adding her favourite was “Winter Wonderland.”

Singing is a relatively new love for the nine year old as she’s only been doing it for about five months.

The class got the crowd into their 20 minute performance with a Canadian version of the 12 Days of Christmas and closed out with Boogie Woogie Christmas.

With Dec. 25 getting closer, Bayani said spending time with family is her favourite part of this season.

“I like how we all get together and get presents,” she said.

The Noon Festival of Carols happens every lunch hour from December 15-18 at TCU Place. Admission is free.
