Missing teens charged with breaking into northern lodge

Dec 11, 2014 | 9:52 AM

Five teenagers who grabbed headlines in early November after going missing at Reindeer Lake have now been charged.

The four boys and one girl say they were moose hunting in aluminum boats, but bad weather forced them onto an island which has a lodge.

A few days later they were found, but Kelly Littlechilds, the owner of Arctic Lodges, said he arrived to his place to find doors had been kicked in and things were out of place.

His property includes a main lodge and 30 cabins. Some of the buildings have food and are left unlocked for anyone who might be lost, he had explained.
