Young girl benefits from Elks lodge donation

Dec 8, 2014 | 5:41 AM

A Prince Albert family has received an early Christmas present from the Elks Lodge of Prince Albert.

A donation of $3,900 has been made to the Carter family, for four – year – old Arabella’s second bone anchoring hearing apparatus (BAHA), which is like a hearing aid.

The donation is made possible through the Elks and Royal Purple of Canada fund for children.

Arabella was born with bilateral Microtia, which means she was born without outer ears.  She lacks the ability to hear without the BAHA.
