No major incidents for paramedics over weekend

Parkland Ambulance Paramedics had a fairly average weekend with 57 calls for service.

And drivers fared better in and around Prince Albert over the weekend as well with paramedics responding to just one accident.

Paramedics were called out Friday evening around 10:30 to an accident at the intersection of Second Avenue West and Marquis.

A woman sustained unknown injuries from the accident and was taken to Victoria Hospital in good condition for further care.

Over the weekend paramedics also responded to two major assaults, both on Saturday.

The first was in the 3500 block of Second Avenue West. One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The second happened Saturday afternoon around 2:30 in the 1400 block of Central Avenue. A 20-year-old man suffered from minor injuries and was taken to hospital for further care.

Officials with Parkland Ambulance report that there were no other significant incidents attended to over the weekend.
