SGI launches 2 new retro licence plates

Rider Nation has another option when it comes to showing their pride while they drive.

On Tuesday, SGI announced two retro licence plates are being launched. One is a Saskatchewan Roughrider plate and both are modeled after the 1965 Saskatchewan licence plates. They have a green background with white numbers, borders and letters.

”The history of our football team is ingrained in Saskatchewan culture,” Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club president and CEO Jim Hopson said in a news release.

The plates are available to the public starting Wednesday.

SGI already has four other specialty plates for Saskatchewan drivers – personalized, veteran, Rider pride and Memorial Cross.
