‘Superman’ flies to P.A. for worthy cause

Dec 1, 2014 | 10:36 AM

If you’re looking to donate to a solid cause and maybe get a little something back, you’ll want to visit the Northern Lights Casino this week.

On Tuesday Geroy ‘Superman’ Simon will be flying into the casino to take in donations for his Coats 4 Kids campaign.

Paul Lomheim, marketing co-ordinator with the Northern Lights Casino, said Simon and the casino will give a little gift back for donating.

“If you bring a coat in you will get to meet Geroy and also get an autographed picture,” said Lomheim. “And if you’re a Players Club member you’ll get $10 of free play.”

This is the first time the Northern Lights Casino will be running this event and Lomheim said he hopes to continue this campaign with Simon.

“As long as Geroy is into doing that in the future,” said Lomheim. “He’s actually quite excited about coming up here, he’s been non-stop in contact with us, so he’s got a passion for what he’s doing.”

If you can’t make it to the casino Tuesday evening you still have a chance to get an autographed picture of him.

Lomheim said they have partnered with the Prince Albert Co-op Store, and if you bring a coat into the store this week up until Friday you’ll get an autographed photo of Superman.
