Local dealership uses social media to give back
As part of a social media campaign, four Riverside dealerships in Prince Albert and Melfort will be donating money and collecting food for the Prince Albert and Melfort food banks.
For every new page like given to either of the dealerships on Facebook during the time of the campaign, $5, the equivalent of one meal, will be given to the appropriate food bank.
The campaign began on Nov. 12 at the Riverside Dodge location in Prince Albert and will go until Nov. 28. The campaign will begin at Riverside Hyundai in Prince Albert, Riverside Arctic Cat and R.V. and Riverside Dodge in Melfort on Dec. 1 and go until Dec. 19.
“It’s important as a dealership, we would like to … try to give back to our community and we thought that this would be a really good way to do that,” said Becky Mihilewicz, social media and website content management for the Riverside Auto Group. “Especially with the holiday season coming up, it’s certainly, I think, a good thing to give back to those that are definitely in need.”
