Dead newborn found in a Regina backyard

Regina police are investigating the death of a baby whose remains were found in the backyard of a home.
 
On Nov. 7, police received a call at 3:30 p.m. reporting a deceased infant. After searching a home on the 700 block of Retallack Street, the body of a boy, who appeared to be newborn, was found. 
 
Police say the mother of the infant has since been identified.
 
The office of the Chief Coroner and police continue to investigate.
