November 21, Restorative Justice Soup & Pie Fundraiser – To celebrate Restorative Justice programming in Prince Albert and area, join Parkland Restorative Justice on Friday, Nov 21 at Calvary United Church (114 25St East, PA) for a soup and pie fundraiser supper.  Enjoy homemade soup, bread and pie, listen to live music and hear stories about the impact restorative ministries like CoSA, P2P, Supporting Friends and chaplaincy have in our communities.  The event starts at 6pm. Dinner is by donation. Donations over $15 will receive a tax-receipt.  For more information, contact Ryan Siemens at 306.763.6224 or persontoperson.prj@sasktel.net.  All proceeds will go to the work of Parkland Restorative Justice.

Online Library Search – Some people are asking what we have in the Resource Centre for Teen and Adult DVD programs.  Here is an easy way to find out!  Go to www.padiocese.ca, find Resources on the green bar.  Under the area are two options: Library Search or Resource Centre.  The Library Search is available on each page.   There you may enter a search under Subject, Category, etc.  For ideas, there is an article entitled, “Exciting DVD Youth and Adult programs”.  Please call or email with any questions 306-922-4747 ext. 229 or resources@padiocese.ca.

Sacred Heart Cathedral 100th Anniversary Celebration

Buy the Sacred Heart History Book, “Our Faith Journey” is a beautiful guided tour through the Cathedral, with colored photos of religious symbols and what they mean to our faith.  They are available for sale at the Sacred Heart Cathedral office (306-763-2319) or the Diocesan office for $25.00.  A great gift or addition to anyone’s library.

May 23, 2015 – Fr. Leo Patalinghug – Fr. Leo Patalinghug will be here on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Carlton Comprehensive Public High School (665-28 St. East, Prince Albert).  With his unique style he will speak to youth, married couples and families. With food, faith and fun, Fr. CWL Prince Albert Looks for Volunteers – Sacred Heart Catholic Women’s League has taken on the responsibility of providing funeral lunches for the parish.  They find the experience very fulfilling and a great opportunity to reach out to fellow parishioners in a time of need.  A request is being made for volunteers to help prepare and serve at funeral lunches.  If you are able to help, please call Shirley at 306-981-2533 or Edna at 306-922-1461. 

November 26-29, St Mary High School “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” – St. Mary High School would like to invite the community to their play by William Shakespeare. Show times at the St. Mary High School Lecture Theatre are from Wednesday, November 26 to Saturday, November 29 at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets cost $10.00 for adults (ages 19 and over) and $5.00 for students (ages 18 years and under) and are available at the main office or at the door on performance evenings.  Thank you for supporting our students. Nov. 29, St. Mark Parish Annual Bazaar – will take place from 11:00am to 2:00pm at the parish (589 – 9th St. East).  There will be tables for baking, homemade preserves, a white elephant and crafts.  Homemade turkey pies are $3.50 ea.  A delicious homemade lunch of soup, open faced buns, dessert, coffee or tea for $6, dessert, coffee or tea, $2.50.  Everyone welcome!
