Canadian Western Agribition adding jousting, new conferences this year
Suits of armour will be found alongside Wrangler jeans and cowboy hats as the 2014 Canadian Western Agribition is getting a taste of the medieval.
Agribition is bringing some never-before-seen events this year, one of which is full-contact jousting.
Shane Adams and the Knights of Valour will hold a tournament.
There will also be chore team events, where a team will compete in an obstacle course made up of farm chores “in a test of skill, agility, and speed.”
Two new conferences will also be offered at the show: a two-day grain expo Nov. 25 and 26th, and a two-day Indigenous Agriculture Summit also on Nov. 25 and 26.
Along with the new programming, there will also be the live music and shopping that agribition-goers have come to expect. The expanded trade show hours will continue on Nov. 27, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
