Muscowpetung map about Keepness dismissed after police investigation
A hand-drawn map posted to Reddit.com that suggested police could find the remains of Tamra Keepness in an area of Muscowpetung Saulteaux First Nation has been investigated, but it did not help police find the little Regina girl missing for more than ten years.
“After thorough investigation, there is nothing to indicate that this information is authentic and a physical search of the area suggested in the sketch has not uncovered any evidence of Tamra Keepness or anything connected to her”, police said in a release.
After officers became aware of the map, investigators tried to determine how credible it was. They looked in an area they believe the map identifies. It includes several wells.
RCMP brought in a specialized camera to look in a total of 21 wells on Thursday. Officers found nothing connecting the area to the disappearance of Keepness.
