Service Canada Workshops

We are hosting an information workshop put on by Service Canada on November 12th from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at our office at 5B – 598 – 15th Street East in the strip mall across from Super Store. 

The workshop will comprise of Record of Employment on the WEB and is designed for small business owners, accountants and bookkeepers and payroll processors.  Record of Employment on the Web is an efficient, reliable and convenient way to submit ROE’s.  The benefits are:

  • Save time and increase productivity
  • Increase filing flexibility
  • Improve the quality and accuracy of ROE’s
  • Reduce paper burden
  • Help your employees get quicker employment Insurance payments

The second part of the workshop will be on Employment Insurance – Special Benefits for Self-Employed business owners.

Service Canada, on behalf of the Government of Canada, is pleased to be able to offer EI special benefits to self-employed business owners.
Self-employed Canadians can access Employment Insurance (EI) special benefits.  There are five types of EI special benefits:

  • Parental benefits
  • Sickness benefits
  • Compassionate care ben
  • Maternity benefits
  • Benefits for parents of critically ill children
  • Learn what conditions are required to be eligible
  • The Registration Process
  • Qualification requirements and how to apply for EI Special Benefits
  • Information on Premiums and Benefits – how much will you receive
