On Wednesday students took time to reflect on the past.
Two elementary schools in Prince Albert held Remembrance Day ceremonies for students, families and members of the public.
Members of the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans Unit 222 were present at both Arthur Pechey School and Vincent Massey Community School to speak about the importance of the day.
“It’s important so that kids know the sacrifices people made to enable them to appreciate what we have and the freedoms that we have,” said Sherry Gunville, vice-principal at Vincent Massey Community School.
