Anonymous man who posted Muscowpetung map pleased

Nov 5, 2014 | 12:46 PM

He wanted attention on a map of Muscowpetung Saulteaux First Nation that came into his possession and more importantly, the missing little girl the map claims to locate — Tamra Keepness.

News Talk Radio chatted with the anonymous man who is under the user name ‘MySecretIsOut’ on Reddit.com.

“Who knows? Maybe it won’t lead to her but there is no way to know without trying. I could not just keep it from the public. At least this way I know someone will go looking…and will continue to look for her,” he replied.

He explained he submitted the map to Crime Stoppers and was told to talk to an officer. He said police could not promise anonymity so he decided to post the map of Muscowpeting Saulteaux First Nation online instead.

The post has since been deleted, although the map has been saved and shared by various media outlets.

When asked if police have tried contacting him now, he replied, “No. I have no idea and am only following now what is posted online about it.”

In the summer, Regina police doubled the reward for information about Tamra Keepness from $25,000 to $50,000. That’s not persuading the online user from coming forward.

“I am a father as well as a husband, brother, and son. While I do wish for Tamra to be found, no amount of money is worth the risk to the safety of those I love,” he siad.

Police visited the First Nation earlier this week and located one well that appears to be shown on the map. The next closest well is 2.5 kilometres away. They are now decided what the next step should be.
